On Friday April 25th, 2015, members and guests of the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge
#2477 were delightfully pleased with a homemade Italian dinner created by Jean
Miraglia. Jean served up a meal of lasagna, meatballs, salad and parmagean
sourdough toast. A delicious and satisfying meal enjoyed by a sold out crowd.
The meal was followed up by comedy entertainment headlined by Perry Kurtz. Perry
kept our members and guests laughing with delight at his jokes, stories and
antics.

Dear Perry, Thank you for entertaining our residents on July 29th,
2014 at the Long Beach Senior Arts Colony. This was the first time we had a
comedy show and hopefully it wont be the last. You got our residents laughing
throughout your lively show. They especially enjoyed the blues song at the end
where you were able to make up lyrics on the spot about them! Many thanks again
and we hope to have you here again in the near future. Cheers!

How are you doing? Just wanted to thank you again for your wonderful services.
All of the ExxonMobil employees and dealers had a great time. The show was great
and I really appreciate you doing such a good job. My butt was on the line and

A Reference from a Synagogue
To Whom It May Concern:
I hired Perry Kurtz to perform for a woman's charity group luncheon. Having seen
Perry perform and MC at a local comedy club, I, as well as the group I was with,
thoroughly enjoyed his array of talents - from intelligent and very clever
comedy to musical abilities! He is a very talented individual and exceptionally
professional.
The above attributes were important, as we had to book his services and count on
his preparation and appearance for our specific audience. He suggested that for
my particular group, he do some jokes that related to some of the individual
women's jobs, hobbies or other well-know characteristics. Prior to the luncheon,
we had a conference call with some of our board members which gave Perry the
material he needed to do the above. He was a tremendous hit, needless to say!
Easygoing, talented, flexible and reliable are the words that come to mind in my
experiences with Perry. I would highly recommend Perry for any kind of event, or
age group. I am truly sorry that he is moving our of our area, as I have passed
his name along to many people who I know would also be happy to have him perform
at their events!

Wedding Reference from a Happy Groom
"I recently got married. My wife wanted the reception to be fun, so she
suggested having a comedian. I thought that sounded like a neat idea, so I
looked for one online. I found Perry Kurtz on Craigslist. I called him, and he
actually returned my phone call. He sounded like he had an interesting gig, so
we booked him. Along the way, we found him easy to work with. On the night of
the party, we were running late, and he was pretty laid back about it. He went
on, and as he warmed up, he became funnier and funnier. He has this incredible
instrument called a keytar that he plays and does a freestyle rap to. It's
hilarious. The funniest part is his final act. That's a surprise. We highly
recommend him!"

Dear Perry,
On behalf of the Redondo Beach Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), I'd like to
express my sincere gratitude to you for so graciously performing during our
Comedy Nite III fundraiser September 18, 1996. The event was a smashing success!
It was a sell out crowd and we were able to raise just under $1,000 to support
our Mervyn's Shopping Spree held every December. During the Shopping Spree,
fellow Jaycee members escort approximately 35 underprivileged children from the
Redondo Beach area throughout the store to pick out clothes and shoes.
Comedy Nite is our biggest fundraiser for this event. Your performance was very
entertaining. The Mariah Carey intro was classic. You had people laughing
hysterically before you had said one word. Of course, no one will forget your
routine with Julie Price. The contrast of your body and her arms was hilarious,
people are still talking about this. Don't think we've let her forget about it
at recent meetings.
Without the generosity of people such as yourself it would be impossible for us
to give back to our community. We appreciate you donating your precious time and
energy for us and making Comedy Nite III an event we will all remember.

Dear Fellow Elk,
On Friday, July 27, 2014, Perry Kurtz brought a wonderful 2-hour comedy show to
our Canoga Park Lodge for our members. Not only did he bring in 4 other top
level comedians to entertain us, but he, as master of ceremonies, opened the
show with almost 30 minutes of material he had written specifically for our
members, based on information we had supplied him with in advance.
His material, as well as the other comedians. was very funny without being
offensive, and had everyone holding their sides and crying from the laughter We
plan on hiring him and his band of comics every chance we can and are
recommending him to other Elk lodges in our area.
With that in mind, I recommend Perry Kurtz as a valuable entertainer and
producer, fully capable of supplying any organization with an excellent evening
of comedy.
